How Can severe Numbness And Pain In The Hand Be Treated?

I am recovering from open heart surgery last week but have a lot of pain in my right hand. I had 2 IV s in the hand and had numbness in my index finger while in the Hospital. Now I have a sac of fluid in the index finger between the knuckle and the first joint, pain in the knuckle and the inside of the thumb. Could this be caused by the IV s? Thank you

yes ..such symptoms of numbness and pain are oftenly seen in patients having iv canula .
but it it persists for long you should not ignore it and get your sugar tested .nd if you are having sugar you must check if its controlled or not .
because numbness n pain might be due to uncontrolled sugar .
